ASX-listed IGO on Monday announced the pending departure of two key executives, with CFO Kathleen Bozanic set to retire at the end of the year and chief people and sustainability officer Sam Retallack also stepping down in 2025.

Bozanic, who joined IGO’s executive team in 2022 after serving three years on the board, including as chair of the audit and risk committee, will remain in her role until December 31. The company said it had begun the process of identifying her successor.

“Kath has made a significant contribution to IGO since she stepped down from the board to take up her executive role as CFO,” CEO Ivan Vella said.

“We are grateful that she has given us significant notice of her decision to return to nonexecutive roles, which will allow an orderly transition. She started as CFO at a very critical time for the business and has had a significant positive impact helping steer the business through the challenges of the past few years.”

Vella said Bozanic’s “expertise, professionalism and commitment” had been instrumental in positioning the company for future growth.

Separately, IGO confirmed that Retallack, who had been with the company for 13 years, would also leave early in the third quarter of 2025.

“Sam was pivotal in working across the business to develop our purpose and values,” Vella said. “This pivotal piece of work remains critical in attracting and retaining our people and guiding our strategy and growth.”
